We are Dr Sarah Berger and Dr Joanna Astill, both clinical psychologists, and we would like to welcome you to our site.  It is here that you can learn about our community and all the opportunities this can offer you, from overcoming stress to feeling in control of your wellbeing and moving towards a life you desire 😊

As clinical psychologists, we recognise the struggle that females often have to incorporate everything into life; in particular, how women often lose connection with themselves whilst trying to do it all for everyone else.  We are passionate about supporting women to feel fulfilled and energised again.

    In building a community we know it is important to encourage interaction and sharing.  Providing live videos can help us to connect more with each other and the opportunity for Q&A's means we can tune in to what is really important to you.

Getting to know us

 

Hi 👋

We are Sarah and Jo.  We are passionate about supporting people to improve their wellbeing and we have done this for over 30 years.  We work in the NHS and in private practice as qualified clinical psychologists, so we have a lot of experience in this area.  But, more importantly, we are human beings and have experienced the ups and downs of life and felt stressed out, tired and overwhelmed, just like you probably have.

We understand it is important to feel a connection with us in order to feel able to share and trust in our community, so we want to keep things real.  We recognise the struggle that we have as working mums and the time constraints and pressure to get everything done, so we wanted to provide a space that gives accessible and evidence-based psychological support.

Seeing first hand how these strategies can empower the people we work with to enhance their well-being, we know that they can help you to reduce stress and reconnect with what is important to you.

We used a variety of personalised techniques to help me think through patterns of behaviour and thinking that was hindering my wellbeing.  I have been able to utilise the various pathways that she gave me to help decrease my stress and get on with the important aspects of my life. I am in a significantly better place than I was at the start of my time with her and would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

 

 

I am now enjoying a much more stable frame of mind and have learned coping mechanisms that mean I can enjoy my life again.

Thank you again for all the help you’ve given me! You really have changed my life around and I will forever be grateful to you for that! You’ve made such a massive positive impact to my mental health and I don’t know how I could ever thank you enough for that after all these years where I have been suffering in silence.
